How I can Help Your Family:
- Give children a "safe place" to express their needs, with the support of the therapist
- Teach the family communication skills
- Provide a trained mediator to help navigate the conflicts that arise in every family
- Help each person feel valued and understood
- Point out where the family may be using one person to blame for the whole family's problems
- Help everyone keep a cool head so communication can happen

We Gotta Laugh…
A mother asked her small son what he would like for his birthday.
"I'd like a little brother," the boy said.
"Oh my, that's such a big wish," said the mother. "Why do you want a little brother?"
"Well," said the boy, "there's only so much I can blame on the dog."

Family Time

Family time means cell phones are put away, television is off, and discussions about chores, grades, money, and other stressful topics are put away for later. Families should make a special effort to eat together and focus on the pleasant events of the day.

…And Dream!
From the time a child is born, a parent is learning to let go; to say, you can do it. I believe in you. To give them wings to fly. To give them room to stumble and get back up again.
Set in your mind a goal of a happy, healthy, independent adult son or daughter. Give them love and responsibility and don't rescue!
